Search People By Email

You can search for people by email addresses. Granted, there might not be too many of these services available, but you should still be able to find a couple online. Unfortunately, there are not too many other ways to actually do a search like this. There are no email directories like there are phone books. You can't take just the address and look it up in the yellow pages. I don't know of anything like that for addresses of emails. That does not mean that they do not exist, but I haven't found any yet.
Now they we said that you could; why would you want to search for people by email address? One instance that I can think of off the top of my head would be checking on suspicious emails. Perhaps you got something from someone who insists that they know you; you could always double-check and make sure that they are who they say they are. With all the mail scams going around online it would not be a bad thing to check on them before you even consider replying to them. You would certainly not want to give them any information about you before you knew who they really were.
These might not be the only reasons you could have for doing a search like this, but it should give you a better idea of what you could use the service for. It really could be an important tool depending on how badly you want the information you could get as a result.
